LEG7: THE ONE ABOVE
This is the longest and most beautiful hike of the race. Teams will decide if they will do the hike first and kayak back later or vice versa, trying to avoid the dark zone on the river. A 27 kilometers long hike follows the edge of the canyon above river Kupa with non-stop views of the valley and other teams below. The trail is marked and diverse which should allow navigators to enjoy the view too. The area is also known for bears but bear encounters are very rare and if they do happen they will keep racers awake.
