THE ONE WITH LAKES
There are not many things sweeter than the downhill at the beginning of the leg while being on the bike…unless it’s night…and it’s cold. Teams will descend from Platak to lake Lokve where they will follow a perfect single track by the lake. Then dirt roads will guide them to another lake by the town Fužine where they will be able to refuel and start their journey to the heart of the Gorski Kotar region. This area is one of the most remote places in Croatia and teams will feel its wilderness while navigating Mrkopalj forests.
