This 16-kilometer-long paddle will take teams through the Rab Channel guiding them towards the mainland. Just before they set out across, a safety checkpoint will await them on the little island of Mišnjak. Despite the mainland being in sight and just a paddle away, this area is known to be tricky due to the notorious bura—a strong, changeable, and unpredictable wind.

In Croatian culture, the bura is more than just a meteorological phenomenon, it is so often talked about that it is given human-like attributes. It is spoken of with caution, its power is often likened to that of a tempestuous personality. One thing is certain: don't underestimate bura!

That said we predict a calm sea and safe port that will await teams at the end of this leg.
