LEG10: THE ONE WITH THE OLD TOWN
Ćićarija is a mountain range located in the northern part of the Istrian peninsula in Croatia. It is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including endemic species that are found nowhere else in the world. Teams will hike through the smelly pine forests and get the visual of the sea on a sunny day. This hike will take them to the historic town of Buzet which has been inhabited by various civilizations throughout the centuries. In more recent history, Buzet has been known for its truffles, a type of gourmet mushroom that is highly prized for its flavor and aroma. Once teams collect the checkpoint in Buzet they will enter the path of waterfalls and enjoy another natural gem of this race.
